Psychotherapist & Cooking Teacher.
Buenos Aires , Argentina.
Since I was a little girl, I spent a lot of time playing in the kitchen, preparing cookies and helping my mom. I´m very grateful to her for teaching me the importance of food in our life and how to cook with love and then share it with our beloved.
I love teaching and transmitting my experience, allowing the students the freedom and creativity to innovate and prepare their own version of the dishes we prepare.
I´m a psychoterapist and find that cooking is therapeutic as it gives us the posibility to use our creativity, and be connected to the roots of the culture. While cooking and enjoying every step of it, we use our five senses, we enter a state of joy and ¨flow¨ and thus forget about ourselves and all the preoccupations.
I quote Denise, one of my students who described my style like this: “I felt comfortable with Norma’s teaching style because she reminds me of my mum—structured and open to spontaneity.”
My cooking classes give me the opportunity to meet travellers from different countries who learn about Argentine cuisine and its culture and share with each other their own culture and experience in traveling .
My students come from all over the world, from the 5 continents : Argentina, Austria, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Cayman Islands, Chipre, Colombia, Croatia, Cuba, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Holland, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mauritius Islands, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Laos, Phillipines, Poland, Reunion Island, Russia, Singapore, Switzerland, Sweden, South Africa, United States, Vietnam, Zambia.
